The last few weeks I was very busy. So I didn't write the blog and didn't make new tracks on Youtube. And it's a shame but I had not have time for the experiment on youtube too. But the tracks have a lot views and any good ratings.


Yesterday I reached the 1.000.000 views on my main channel. What a great feeling...

I started a new music project in my rare free time. It's called 4track. I selected two online market places for this projects - audiojungle (the audio market place of envato) and pond5.There I make some backing tracks, logos and idents for videos, advertise and other multi media projects. So I make music and earn a little money. But the start is really difficult. A lot of good composers and producers are there. But I think I give it a try.

It's time for a new track. Any weeks I didn't produce a new track on this channel, but now you can watch and listen to my first kamtrack this year.

 It's a metal jamtrack in E minor scale.

The first time that I'm in front of camera for a backing track. It's a funny video and I have had a lot of fun.

What would I do in their place? I don't know. Youtube is one of the best marketing tools for musicians now and very important for self-employmed musicians.

day 20 of the experiment

At the first glance the last 10 days were not very successful. The views have become less than the 10 days before.

It seems like it is not a good moment for this experiment. Or have I something wrong?

I shared this tracks a lot less than the 10 days before. I not produce a new track on this channel for the last four weeks. And I'm a beginner in social marketing.

But the growth of the channel is faster in the last 10 days than the time before. More views on the channel and more subscribers per day - an increase of 10 - 15% per day. 

I think that's a good result.

What I have done?

I registered in several music forums and I registered on Pinterest, Instagram and any other social media networks. I pin the link to my channel in my profile and started some new threads, with a link to my channel.

A great tool for me are the community in G+. You can send your link to the channel or video and get response from users directly. This is really great.

What are the most important facts for a good ranking on youtube part1?

 

More than two weeks I read a lot of blogs, articles and information about a good ranking on youtube.

The informations are very different. Some authors write this is important, other poeple say other facts are important. I read and watched a lot of youtube in the "Youtube creators playbook", Youtube Creator Academy" and so on...

Ok let's start with the facts:

 

facts for ranking on youtube

- title tag relevance of the video

- total video likes
- views
- how long your video is viewed per view
- channel views
- the number of subscribers

- how long the channel already exists

- percentage of likes to views

- total channel views

what should you do?

1. The most important fact is a high quality video with an interesting content

(I think this not a new knowledge to everyone)

- use HD quality min.

2. Title of the video file that you upload

before you upload a video, you should give the video file a good name with a description of your video content and the most important keywords - so Youtube knows from the begin the content of the video and category, so the video can better listed by the content

3. Title in youtube

the title on the video site is one of the most important facts, use only a description and keywords about the content of the video.

4. The description

Youtube says that the first sentences the most important are, cause this is the visible part of the description in the search request. But try to find out the countries where your videos was watched and try to translate the description in the most important languages.

5. keywords, metatags

This arent't very important, but every part seems to be important enough for Youtube. So try to find good keywords. Use google and youtube search...look at the autocomplete words for keywords...

I'm a little proud. One backing track reached today the 500.000 views on youtube .

What I did the last 10 days?

I read a lot, many blogs about online marketing, google ranking, youtube ranking, viral marketing, link building and a lot more. A good recent articel about link building you can find here.

This week I began with link building. I don't know how good it works with youtube videos. But I think it's worh a try.

I registered in three big music forums and set the links to the videos in some threads and in my profile. I don't know how it works, how fast it works and how long it works. I look forward.
